The Newtown Rugby League Football Club notes with regret the passing of Brian "Sharkey" McGreal, a Newtown Bluebags first grade player from the late 1950's and early 1960's.

A tough, uncompromising front rower of the old school, "Sharkey" passed away on Saturday, 14th July at the age of 71. He was a popular figure with players and supporters alike and was a regular at Newtown's annual club reunions over the years.

The Newtown RLFC extends sincere condolences to all the members of Brian's family.
