Frank "Bumper" Farrell
A life long Newtown icon and a long serving member of the New South Wales Police Force. Bumper led Newtown to the Bluebag's last premiership title in 1943 against a skillful North Sydney team who were captain-coached by Frank Hyde.

Product of the Singleton RLFC (Group 21).
Played with the Newcastle Knights from 1998 to 2003 and played five-eighth in the Newcastle Knights NRL premiership-winning team of 2001.
Played with Castleford and the Catalan Dragons in the English Super League from 2004 to 2006.
Played Rugby Union in Japan in 2007.
Signed with the Newtown Jets in 2008 and has been in outstanding form in the VB NSW Cup competition.
Named in the second row for the Sydney Roosters Round 16 game against the Bulldogs.
