Again this year, after many successful relationships with sponsors, the Newtown RLFC invites businesses in the local and wider community to consider a sponsorship of the Jets.

We'd like you to consider some of the reasons why your business can gain
through an association with the Newtown Jets.

1.  We're a successful Club celebrating over 104 years of rugby league

We start 2012 with our Season Launch at Petersham RSL.

Our club, a foundation club and in the 7th year of its arrangement with fellow foundation club, the Sydney Roosters, will field a very strong team in the 2012 NSWRL NSW Cup.

2.  We're a Club with a unique following

The Jets' target market is the local community and rugby league supporters in particular. We are very popular with the large inner-city market. Secondary markets include the Sydney Roosters organisation and their supporter base. Newtown’s merchandise brand is well-known and the Jets shop has its own website, Jets Clothing.

3.  We gain good media coverage

  Local newspapers such as The Inner Western Courier and Cooks River Valley Times, often run Jets-related articles and photos on their sports pages as well as dedicated Rugby League publications such as Big League, Rugby League Week, Rugby League Review and League News - the official publication of the NSWRL.

  The Jets receive frequent coverage from radio stations such as 2GB, 2SM, WSFM, 2KY and ABC Radio.

  The Newtown Jets feature prominently on the NSW Rugby League Show on Fox Sports which is broadcast nationwide in a prime-time Wednesday night timeslot of 5.30pm after consistent top ratings which double those of the Queensland Cup's equivalent television show.

  Producer David Tapp suggests "matches involving the NSW Rugby League's foundation clubs such as Newtown, rate through the roof."

4.  We support our sponsors through targeted promotions

The Club and its sponsors are also promoted via targeted campaigns using special events, such as the annual Season Launch, golf days and special fund-raising events, and through the Jets Sports Club.

Cross-promotional opportunities will largely stem from communication with existing sponsors and the club's supporter/member database.

The Jets have an email newsletter service that reaches thousands of readers each week and a Twitter stream that is accessed by hundreds every day.
