Again in 2008, after many successful relationships with sponsors, the Newtown RLFC invites businesses in the local and wider community to consider a sponsorship of the Jets.

We'd like you to consider some of the reasons why your business can gain through an association with the Newtown Jets.

1.  We're a successful Club celebrating 100 years of rugby league

We start 2008 by launching Rugby League's centenary year with our centenary celebration in Newtown's Town Hall - the scene of the meeting that started it all.

Our club, as a foundation club, will feature in many of the events on the centenary calendar and as part of our 5-year arrangement with our fellow foundation club, the Sydney Roosters, we will field a very strong team in the new NSWRL competition, the New South Wales Cup..

2.  We're a Club with a unique following

The Jets' target market is the local community and rugby league supporters in particular. We are very popular with the large inner-city market. Secondary markets include the Sydney Roosters organisation and their supporter base.

Newtown’s merchandise brand is well-known and the Jets shop has its own website, Jets Clothing.

3.  We gain good media coverage

Print media - local newspapers such as The Glebe, the Inner Western Courier and the Cooks River Valley Times, often run Jets-related articles and photos on their sports pages.

Radio - the Jets receive frequent coverage from radio stations such as 2GB, 2SM, WSFM, 2KY and ABC Radio.

Web - Rugby League-related news websites cover the teams and game results.

4.  We support our sponsors through targeted promotions

The Club and its sponsors are also promoted via targeted campaigns using special events, such as the annual Season Launch, 2 golf days and special fund-raising events, and through the Jets Sports Club.

Cross-promotional opportunities will largely stem from communication with existing sponsors and the club's supporter/member database. The Jets have an email newsletter service that reaches thousands of readers.
