Frank "Bumper" Farrell
A life long Newtown icon and a long serving member of the New South Wales Police Force. Bumper led Newtown to the Bluebag's last premiership title in 1943 against a skillful North Sydney team who were captain-coached by Frank Hyde.

The Newtown Jets extend their strategic partnership with the Sydney Roosters and look forward to a successful year on the football field, competing in the NSWRL's 13-team NSW Cup competition.

After making great contributions to the onfield performances of the Newtown Jets, former assistant coach, Luke Ellis, is now the Football Manager at the Roosters; former team manager, Mick Dabela, is having a second sabbatical year and Sean Rutgerson has moved on.

Every week, a player making a major contribution to the team's performance is named the Newtown Jets Players Player.

The winning player and a friend enjoy dinner at Alberto's pizzeria restaurant in Newtown.
