Newtown Jets players who played in the 2008 Trials

Some of the players will be known to Jets supporters because they played Premier League with the Newtown Jets over the past two seasons. Other players have played Jim Beam cup with the Jets or are now looking to develop their skills further with the Newtown team in 2008, in the new State Cup competition.


Steve Meredith
Bravely overcame terrible knee injuries to play again with Newtown and challenge for the Roosters NRL squad. Eligible for Samoa in the World Cup.

Rhys Pritchard
Ex-Roosters. Impressed with Newtown in 2007.

Luke Gordon
Ex-Roosters, Wests-Tigers. Played very well in Newtown's 2006 VB Premier League team.

Trevor Richardson
Secondrower and ex-Irish Rugby Union. Eligible for the Irish team for Rugby League World Cup.

Hep Cahill
Ex-Roosters. Played with Newtown in 2007. His home town is Napier, NZ.

Ray Moujalli
Prop, ex-Roosters, Souths and Cronulla, Lebanese international.

Luke Branighan
Five-eighth, ex-Souths, Dragons, Easts (Brisbane), has extensive UK and French experience.

Khalid Deeb
Secondrower or prop, played for Lebanon in the 2007 World Cup qualifiers in Europe.

Tevita (David) Folau
Winger, older brother of Israel Folau.

Luke Millwood
Halfback and five-eighth, ex-Broncos and Cairns.

Jai Ayoub
Halfback, ex-Wests-Tigers.

Donny Thompson
Fullback, ex-Cabramatta, eligible for Samoa in the 2008 World Cup.

Lock or second-rower, ex-Cowboys.
