Shaun Foley, Byron Ford and Mickey Paea give Newtown Rugby League Football Club a significant representation in the NSW Residents side that will play a QLD Residents side in the curtain raiser to Game 2 of the Harvey Norman State Origin Series, Wednesday 11 July 2008 at Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane.
The Newtown Jets Coach, Greg Matterson, will coach the NSW Residents Side; Bob Jones from the Sydney Roosters, a great friend and adviser of the Newtown Jets, will co-manage the team with David Kelly; and David Norman will act as the NSWRL Co-ordinator.
