About the Jets Coach, Greg Matterson
Greg took over the coaching role for 2008, after a successful year as assistant coach to the our 2007 coach, Paul Young, now Coaching Director at the Sydney Roosters.
Under the guidance and coaching expertise of Greg and his team, the Newtown Jets fought through to the Grand Final in 2008, waging a relentless battle against a much heavier Parramatta team and taking the eventual premiers to two rounds of extra time - the longest Grand Final in the history of the second tier competition.
Greg and his team, work in close consultation with the Sydney Roosters coaching staff.
