About the Jets Coach, Greg MattersonGreg took over the coaching role for 2008, after a successful year as assistant coach to the our 2007 coach, Paul Young, now Coaching Director at the Sydney Roosters. Under the guidance and coaching expertise of Greg and his team, the Newtown Jets fought through to the Grand Final in 2008, waging a relentless battle against a much heavier Parramatta team and taking the eventual premiers to two rounds of extra time - the longest Grand Final in the history of the second tier competition. Greg and his team, work in close consultation with the Sydney Roosters coaching staff. About our Musculoskeletal & Sports Physiotherapist, Andrew PapasBMedSc(UNSW), BAppSc(Physio)(Syd), MHlthSc(Manips)(Syd), MHlthSc(Sports)(Syd) Andrew is Director and Principal Physiotherapist of SOS Physiotherapy. He has years of extensive experience in musculoskeletal injuries including sports and work injuries, treatment of orthopaedic conditions, application and removal of plaster/fibreglass casts, treatment for headache and exercise therapy/rehabilitation. Andrew has also been trained in the application of state-of-the-art GaitScan technology which with his clinical experience and interest in lower limb biomechanics, allows custom-made orthotics to be prescribed and made for patients where orthotic therapy is indicated. Andrew is also Director of 'SOS Aged Care Physiotherapy' which is a service that caters for residents of aged care facilities. Andrew's experience includes holding positions as Physiotherapist for Sydney Cosmos Soccer Club (1996), Moorebank Bulldogs Metropolitan Cup Rugby League (1996-1998), Australian OzTag (1998-1999), Lindfield Rugby Union Club (1999), Sutherland Shire Netball Association (2000), Australian University Games (2001), NSW Rugby League Western Suburbs Magpies Football Club (2002-2004), NRL WestsTigers (2002-2003) and the NSW Country Origin Team (2003).
