- Gained representative honours in Schoolboys Rugby [2009] and was signed by the Roosters for the 2011 and 2012 Roosters Toyota Cup season.
- Debuted for the Newtown Jets in Rd18 2012 against the Auckland Vulcans.
- Usaia completed his Certificate III in Fitness in 2011 and will continue to study in 2012. He has obtained an RSA and RCG and is working part-time.
