BUFFALO TRACE BRAND STAMPEDE COMES TO HENSON PARK – BUFFALO TRACE DISTILLERY & NEWTOWN JETS HOST AUSTRALIA’S LARGEST WHISKEY TASTING JUST IN TIME FOR FATHER’S DAY

Buffalo Trace Distillery, the World’s Most Award-winning Distillery, is set to celebrate Father’s Day and make history in Sydney by hosting the biggest whiskey tasting event Australia has ever seen– and on a football field, no less!

On August 31 a 100-metre tasting table seating 250 attendees will span across the legendary pitch at Henson Park in Marrickville, Sydney as Buffalo Trace Distillery and the Newtown Jets Rugby League Club partner to create a never-seen-before whiskey tasting experience.

Taking place following the Newtown Jets vs. Warriors game, the event marks the end of the Knock-On Effect NSW Cup and celebrates the 250th anniversary of Buffalo Trace Distillery, the oldest continually operating distillery in the U.S, with the release of 250 tickets.

Known for its old-school rugby league charm, Henson Park will be transformed into a whiskey lovers’ paradise for one night only, bringing together fans through great tastes and thrilling plays, including a feast from the renowned Sydney restaurant Black Bear BBQ. Hosts of the evening will be Andrew Barnett, one of Australia’s top comedians and football personalities, alongside Buffalo Trace Distillery whiskey expert, Gee David.

“We’ve never seen anything like this done at Henson Park,” said Stuart McCarthy of the Newtown Jets. “We can’t wait to smash records right in the heart of our bourbon-loving Sydney suburb with Buffalo Trace Distillery – a brand with a rich story and engaged fan base.”

Tickets will be priced at $35.00 and will give attendees access to:

● A seat at Australia’s biggest bourbon tasting on the field of Henson Park.

● Tasting four exceptional whiskeys including Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, Sazerac Straight Rye Whiskey, Weller Special Reserve Wheated Bourbon, and Buffalo Trace Distillery Bourbon Cream.

● Additional drink options will also be provided.

● A feast like no other from Black Bear BBQ including a cut off the huge rotating pork spit.

● A guided tasting hosted by Andrew Barnett and Gee David.

● Exclusive, never before heard stories from Barnett and David, and plenty of laughs.

● Special surprise and delight moments throughout the evening.

● Also includes entry to Newtown Jets REUNION DAY KOE NSW CUP game vs Warriors (3pm kick off).

No gift for Father’s Day yet? No problem. Give dad the best gift of the year with tickets to taste whiskey and chat football with industry legends.
