The score after 80 minutes of regulation time was 14-all.

Extra time was played on the basis of two five-minute segments, followed by Golden Point if necessary after the ten minutes of extra time.

Newtown’s winning try (scored by fullback Will Kennedy) was scored in the 7th minute of extra time.
