Easter Sunday showdown for Jets against Panthers

The Newtown Jets face off against the Penrith Panthers at Henson Park this Sunday, 21st April. Please make note of the early kick-off time of 1.10pm, with this match being televised live on Channel Nine.

Following their thrilling victory against North Sydney last Saturday, this match against Penrith (in 5th place on six points) is another important fixture as the Jets strive to break clear of the tail-end of the Canterbury Cup NSW competition table.

The Newtown RLFC extends congratulations to the great Johnny Raper on the occasion of his 80th birthday. John played for the Newtown club from 1956 to 1958 before going on to a stellar rugby league career with St George and a host of representative games with Sydney, NSW and Australia.
