Every game is critical for the Jets from now on

One of Newtown’s best performances in 2019 was the resounding 36-22 victory against St George-Illawarra in Round 11 back on the 26th May at WIN Stadium, Wollongong. The Jets host the Dragons at Henson Park this Saturday (6th July) and as we head into the final third of the Canterbury Cup NSW competition, every single game can be classed as being ultra-important for Newtown’s finals chances.

The Jets will be missing three players due to State of Origin selection commitments: Second-rower Teig Wilton has won selection in the NSW Under 20s State of Origin team, and halfback Braydon Trindall and centre Ronaldo Mulitalo have both been included in the Queensland Under 20s State of Origin side. Everyone at the Jets extends congratulations to all three players on gaining selection in these representative teams.
