Jets move into a grand final qualifier on Sunday

The Newtown Jets take on minor premiers St George-Illawarra in a Canterbury Cup NSW preliminary final at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium this Sunday, 22nd September. The winner of Sunday’s encounter will advance to the grand final to meet the winner of the South Sydney-Wentworthville preliminary final (to be played on Saturday).

Newtown beat the Dragons on both occasions in the Canterbury Cup NSW premiership rounds. In round 11, the Jets won 36-22 at WIN Stadium, Wollongong. In round 16, Newtown defeated the Dragons 24-18 at Henson Park, thereby claiming the Tom Kirk Cup for 2019.

The Newtown RLFC calls on Jets supporters to turn out in big numbers at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium on Sunday, as the Dragons have home ground advantage in this match.
