Newtown’s oldest living first grade captain Dick Poole celebrated his 90^th birthday last Friday (27^th November) and the Sun-Herald ran an article and photos of Dick on the 29^th November.

One of Dick’s team-mates from Newtown’s 1954 and 1955 first grade grand final teams, lock forward Peter Ryan, turned 87 on the 3^rd December.

Happy birthday again to both of these wonderful Newtown Bluebags veterans!

The Newtown Jets are proud partners of the NSWPDRLA as the organisation strives to offer children and adults with a physical disability the opportunity to participate in the greatest game of all.
The theme for IDPwD2020 is ‘Building Back Better: toward a disability-inclusive, accessible and sustainable post COVID-19 World’, which perfectly illustrates the current work of the NSWPDRLA as plans come together for  Season 2021.

The renowned Newtown Jets clothing and merchandise marquee will be open again this Saturday, 5^th December, in front of the Wesley Mission in King Street, Newtown, directly opposite the Dendy Cinemas.
This will be a great opportunity to get those special Christmas gift choices – the marquee is open from 10.00am to 4.00pm.
