The undefeated Newtown Jets return home to Henson Park this Saturday to take on local rivals the Canterbury Bulldogs in a standalone fixture, kicking off at 3pm. The ‘Dogs are one from three to start the season and will be looking to repeat their trial game performance at the same venue earlier in the year when they were comfortable winners.

Our Men All Dressed in Blue are looking to keep their early season roll going in front of the Bluebag faithful so get along on Saturday to cheer them on.

Weather permitting, there will be plenty of fun to be had on the DEICORP Family Hill with FREE jumping castles & face painting to keep the kids entertained. Ice Cream Joe’s Mr Whippy & Barista will be in attendance, whilst Philter’s Henson Park Draught, XPA and other tasty brews are available for all the Mums, Dads and over 18s along with Kraken & Cola and Kraken & Dry courtesy of Kraken, the exclusive dark spirits partner of the Newtown Jets in 2025.

Newtown Jets’ home game raffle is on again featuring a delicious Meat Tray from Dulwich Hill Gourmet Meats along with our famous Fruit & Veg box courtesy of Bobby and Chris Petersen, a case of Henson Park Draught care of Philter and some yummy Jets biscuits thanks to J Kreations. So, as Lynchy always says… ‘Dig deep & support the Jets!’

After the game, the Jets invite members, supporters and friends to The Vic on the Park from 5.30pm to mingle with players and coaching staff and hopefully celebrate a victory. The Vic on the Park is located at 2 Addison Road, Marrickville.

If you cannot get to Henson Park this Saturday, the game is being televised on NSWRL TV on BAR TV.

Please be advised that the redevelopment & upgrade of the King George V Memorial Grandstand is in full swing. As a result, there is no parking inside the ground for the general public.

Go the Jets!

One of the prestige awards of the night is the Fred Daly Memorial Shield, which is awarded to the player considered to have rendered the most outstanding service to the Newtown RLFC on and off the field. This year's recipient is the Henson Park crowd favourite and powerhouse middle forward Brad "Big Red" Fearnley, flanked by the club President Barry Cotter (left) and the Australian Mutual Bank sponsorship executive and Development Manager Glen Warner (right).
