Our Men All Dressed in Blue put in arguably their best performance of the season last Saturday at Leichhardt disposing of the Canberra Raiders 38-16 to progress to a Grand Final Qualifier this Sunday against our arch-rivals and minor premiers the North Sydney Bears.
It’s always a huge occasion when these two foundation clubs do battle, but the stakes are even higher this weekend. The winner goes through to the Grand Final whilst the loser will have to overcome either Penrith (who are gunning for nine wins on the trot) or Canberra, who are likely to be strengthened given their NRL team did not make the finals.
So, it’s a call to arms to the Bluebag faithful to get to Leichhardt on Sunday afternoon and bring your voice.
If you cannot, the game is being televised on NSWRL TV.
Go the Jets!
Newtown Jets respect and honour the Traditional Custodians of the Land and pay our respects to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge the stories, traditions and living cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples on the lands we meet, gather and play on and that the land area encompassing Henson Park traditionally belonged to the Gadigal people of the Eora nation.
