Newtown Jets Team List v Wests Magpies Sat 24th August, 2019

Newtown Jets has named its team for the Canterbury Cup NSW Round 23 clash versus fellow foundation club Wests Magpies being played at Henson Park, Saturday 24th August, 12.45pm kick-off. This is another must win game for the Jets on their quest to make the finals and will also determine the winner of the Tommy Raudonikis Cup for 2019. The game is being televised live on Fox League. Sydney Uni takes on St Marys in Sydney Shield at 10.30am whilst Glebe Burwood do the same in the Ron Massey Cup from 3pm.

The Newtown Jets’ return home to Henson Park this Saturday 24th August for a must win RETRO ROUND Canterbury Cup NSW clash against fellow foundation club Wests Magpies (12.45pm kick off). To mark the occasion, we’re giving $5 entry to anyone who shows up wearing a retro jersey. Currently seventh on the ladder, Newtown needs to win its final two home games this Saturday and next to assure itself of a spot in the finals. The Tommy Raudonikis Cup is also up for grabs with the Magpies having won the first leg 32-22. Glebe Burwood do battle with St Marys in the Ron Massey Cap at 3pm, whilst Sydney Uni takes on the Saints in Sydney Shield at 10.30am.

There will be plenty of fun for the kids on the DEICORP Family Hill featuring jumping castles, face painting, pass the ball. Ice Cream Joe’s Mr Whippy & Barista will be in attendance as will SCU – More Generous Banking’s SYD THE PIG.

There’s a feast of footy, Retro Style, this Saturday at Henson Park so bring your friends and family, wear your favourite Retro Jersey and cheer on the men all dressed in blue whilst enjoying one of the most unique sporting experiences Sydney has to offer.
