Newtown’s quest to consolidate a place in the Top Eight continues without respite

The Jets travel into Sydney’s south-west on Saturday, 15th June, to take on the second-placed Mounties. The Jets are currently in eighth position, having leap-frogged Wentworthville on the Canterbury Cup competition table following last Saturday’s 22-10 win at Henson Park.

Jamie Soward, the guest tipster on the NSWRL website (www.nswrl.com.au) has once again gone for the underdogs, Newtown, in tomorrow’s showdown:

Mounties (2) vs Jets (8); Aubrey Keech Reserve; Saturday,15th June, 3.00pm:

“Mounties just continue to have that next man up mentality. What they’ve been able to do this year with their squad, guys coming in and out has been amazing and they out themselves in a really good position for the end of the year. The Jets have been rolling the last five weeks, four wins, one draw, starting to hold the ball, starting to compete on plays. I’m going to say an upset here. Jets by 4.
