SG Ball Match summary: Dragons last-minute intercept sinks the Jets

Newtown and St George turned on a thrilling SG Ball Cup trial match at the Matraville Sports High Oval last Saturday afternoon.

The teams had been locked up at 4-all at half-time and the Jets (aided by a strong breeze) grafted their way to a 12-4 lead midway through the second half - but in the "time honoured" Newtown fashion found a way to lose the match in the game's dying seconds.

Newtown Jets coach Joel Greig was not impressed with his team's poor completion rate in both halves and with his players' collective inability to comply with their instructions.
