Saturday’s Festival crowd will incentivise the Newtown Jets

The anticipated big attendance at the 2019 Beer, Footy & Food Festival at Henson Park on Saturday should provide the partisan atmosphere to get the Newtown Jets home against their highly-rated opponents, Canterbury-Bankstown. The Bulldogs are currently top of the Canterbury Cup NSW premiership table and the Jets are just outside of the top eight – but this adrenalin-charged occasion is sure to provide a massive boost to the Jets.

There are two curtain-raisers being played at Henson Park on Saturday, 27th July. Glebe-Burwood (the Glebe Dirty Reds) play Penrith Brothers in the Ron Massey Cup at 10.45am, and the Cronulla Sharks meet Canterbury Bulldogs in the Jersey Flegg Cup at 12.45pm.
