The Newtown Jets celebrate what was a magnificent year in the history of Australia’s oldest rugby league club
The 2024 Newtown RLFC Presentation Dinner and Awards Night was held at the Petersham RSL Club on the night of Friday, 15th November.
It was a first-class occasion in every respect – a big crowd in an exuberant mood as everyone in attendance recognised the magnificent achievement of another NSW Cup premiership victory,
(the third since the Newtown Jets joined what is now known as the NSW Cup competition back in 2000).
There was first class service provided by the Petersham RSL Club catering and hospitality staff and the Newtown RLFC thanks the Petersham RSL Club for its rock-solid support extended to the Jets since 1998.
The Newtown Jets also thank their steadfast NRL partnership club, the Cronulla Sharks, for their continued staunch support. What a year 2024 has been for both of our clubs – the Cronulla Sharks being NRL preliminary finalists, Jersey Flegg Grand Finalists, NRLW Grand Finalists, and the Newtown Jets …. the NSWRL Knock-On Effect NSW Cup Premiers!

Newtown Jets respect and honour the Traditional Custodians of the Land and pay our respects to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge the stories, traditions and living cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples on the lands we meet, gather and play on and that the land area encompassing Henson Park traditionally belonged to the Gadigal people of the Eora nation.
