This week your club honours another loyal sponsor – Vic on the Park, Marrickville
The popular Vic on the Park hotel is located at 2 Addison Road, Marrickville, directly opposite the idyllic surrounds of Enmore Park.
The Vic has been a sponsor of the Newtown Jets since 2014, with special coverage of the years that our club has been competing in the second-tier level of Australian rugby league.
The Vic is a home away from home for local residents (and their dogs are very welcome too!)
This iconic inner-west hotel is renowned for its array of ice-cold beers, classic pub food and gigs by your favourite local bands.
Most of all, we pay tribute to the owners, management and staff of the mighty Vic on the Park for remaining such staunch sponsors of Australia’s oldest rugby league club.
Some exciting new Jets clothing products.
2021 is 40 years on from when Newtown played Parramatta in the 1981 NSWRL first grade grand final.
It is also 40 years on from when the Newtown Jets and Manly-Warringah turned on one of the most ferocious semi-finals ever played in the history of the NSWRL!
The “We Still Love The Biff” t-shirt comes in an eye-catching black, along with a reference to the 40th anniversary of this blood-stirring event.

And 2021 happens to be 30 years on from when the Newtown Jets returned to playing rugby league, after surviving a notorious “Seven Years in Hell” in footballing oblivion.
The Jets returned to rugby league in 1991 in the NSWRL Metropolitan Cup competition, which our club came to dominate later on in the 90s decade.
Newtown’s jersey sponsor back in 1991 was Power’s Brewery, a Brisbane independent brewery that was later bought out by Carlton & United Breweries.
Power’s also sponsored the Brisbane Broncos and the Cronulla Sharks in what was still the NSWRL first grade premiership competition.
This retro singlet salutes Power’s for their support for the Jets back in 1991.

Former Newtown Jet Mark Kheirallah plays for France this weekend.
England and France play a rugby league international in Perpignan this Sunday morning (Australian Eastern Daylight Time).
The match is being shown live on the Fox Sports Rugby League channel at 12.25am (AEDT).
Dashing fullback Mark Kheirallah, who played with Newtown in 2011 and 2012, will be playing again for France in this international match.
Newtown Jets respect and honour the Traditional Custodians of the Land and pay our respects to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge the stories, traditions and living cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples on the lands we meet, gather and play on and that the land area encompassing Henson Park traditionally belonged to the Gadigal people of the Eora nation.
