The Newtown Jets Rugby League Football Club is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of former first-grade player John Bradstock.
A St Peters junior, Bradstock made his first-grade debut for the Jets in 1972. That year, the flying winger crossed for 18 tries, finishing as the joint leading try scorer for the regular season alongside Bob Fulton.
In 1973, John was a member of the club’s Wills Cup-winning squad. Over the course of his career, he played 53 first-grade games, scoring 31 tries and 45 goals.
In his later years, John was a familiar presence at Henson Park. We extend our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.
The Newtown Jets say farewell and thank you to a superb player and popular club identity, Billy Magoulias

Newtown Jets respect and honour the Traditional Custodians of the Land and pay our respects to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge the stories, traditions and living cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples on the lands we meet, gather and play on and that the land area encompassing Henson Park traditionally belonged to the Gadigal people of the Eora nation.
