It’s the biggest day of the year at Henson Park this Saturday as we host the ninth edition of the BEER FOOTY & FOOD FESTIVAL (tickets selling fast here).
BFFF brings together Sydney’s best craft brewers and food vendors to our iconic hill and this Saturday there will be plenty of both to keep you hydrated and well fed, including our official hydration partners PHILTER, our dark spirits sponsor Kraken along with our great mates at TokyoTaco serving up their fabulous Jets Meal – the ultimate footy feast.
Of course, that’s not all though, with both pre and post-game wrestling from Pro Wrestling Australia, which has become a real crowd favourite, and Bubbling With Energy’s infamous inflatable world for the kids – there are entertainment options for the whole family!
This year also sees the introduction of Streaker Bullrush where our game contestants take on security dressed only in in Budgies, Trainers & a Philter Cap in a game of you guessed it… bullrush.
Stalls open from midday and the main game is at 3.30pm. GET THERE EARLY TO AVOID THE QUEUES!

IMPORTANT THINGS TO CONSIDER:
- There is NO PARKING available inside Henson Park this Saturday nor at Marrickville High School across the road.
- Street parking is limited, so we strongly recommend catching public transport. Our great mates at Busfleet Australia will be providing a courtesy bus from Sydenham Station to Henson Park between 12pm and 3pm.
- Newtown RLFC members get in free upon presentation of a 2025 BFFF game day pass. Please do not attempt to use regular game day passes as they will not be accepted.
- Unfortunately, Petersham RSL & Cronulla Sharks 2025 members are not entitled to FREE entry at BFFF.
- Entry to the ground for patrons is via Sydenham Road and Woodland Street.
- Entry is $25 at the gate, but we recommend pre-purchasing tickets HERE. Please note that Henson Park will be a CARD ONLY venue inside the ground.
The BEER FOOTY & FOOD FESTIVAL at Henson Park has become one of the premier entertainment events in Sydney and is simply not to be missed. We look forward to seeing you there!
Saturday is also a chance for our Men All Dressed in Blue to redeem themselves in front of a bumper BFFF crowd after what can only be described as an innocuous second half performance last weekend against the Roosters. Many smart judges have the Dragons as favourites for this season’s KOE NSW Cup, so at the very least, complacency will not be an issue for the Jets. The game is also the decider of the Tom Kirk Cup with the Dragons already having one hand on the trophy after a 30-point win in Tamworth back in Round 10.
Our Bluebags Bar & canteen underneath the scoreboard will be open for trading, serving
Philter’s Henson Park Draught, Newtown Lager, XPA and other tasty brews for all the over 18s along with Kraken & Cola and Kraken & Dry courtesy of Kraken, the exclusive dark spirits partner of the Newtown Jets.
Newtown Jets’ home game raffle is on again featuring a delicious Meat Tray from Dulwich Hill Gourmet Meats along with our famous Fruit & Veg box courtesy of Bobby and Chris Petersen, a case of Henson Park Draught care of Philter and some yummy Jets biscuits thanks to J Kreations. So, as Lynchy always says… ‘Dig deep & support the Jets!’
If you cannot make it to Henson Park this Saturday, the game is being livestreamed on BarTV NSWRL.
Go the Jets!
