The curse of Canberra remains alive and well as Newtown’s winless ways in the nation’s capital continued last weekend.

As much as the final score suggests otherwise, our Men All Dressed in Blue had chances and should have hit the lead twelve minutes into the second half but for a lack of execution.

Seven consecutive sets to the Raiders later, resulting in three converted tries saw the score blow out and Canberra cruise to their first win of the season.

The Jets face another tough assignment travelling to NZ to tackle the undefeated Warriors this Saturday. It’s first versus second in what should be an absorbing & bruising encounter.

The game is being televised on NSWRL TV on BarTV Sports so get near a screen at 11am on Saturday morning to cheer on the mighty Bluebags.

Go the Jets!
