It’s a feast of footy this Saturday at (the real eighth wonder of the world) Henson Park when foundation clubs Newtown Jets do battle with Western Suburbs Magpies in the decider of the Tommy Raudonikis Cup for 2025. The Jets won the first leg 18-6 in Round 8 but will have to be on their game if they want to retain the silverware. Ladder leaders Cronulla Sharks also take on Wests Tigers in Jersey Flegg at 12.50pm. With no rain forecast, where on earth would you rather be?!

Our Men All Dressed in Blue found their mojo last Saturday night in a 54-0 rout of an undermanned Sydney Roosters team in Gosford. It was a confidence boost for the Bluebags who were coming off three losses in a row. The mighty Jets will be looking to keep on their winning ways this Saturday in front of an army of their faithful so get to Henson Park ready to cheer loudly to get them home.

There will be plenty of fun to be had on the DEICORP Family Hill with FREE jumping castles & face painting to keep the kids entertained. Ice Cream Joe’s Mr Whippy & Barista will be in attendance, whilst Philter’s Henson Park Draught, XPA and other tasty brews are available for all the Mums, Dads and over 18s along with Kraken & Cola and Kraken & Dry courtesy of Kraken, the exclusive dark spirits partner of the Newtown Jets in 2025.

Newtown Jets’ home game raffle is on again featuring a delicious Meat Tray from Dulwich Hill Gourmet Meats along with our famous Fruit & Veg box courtesy of Bobby and Chris Petersen, a case of Henson Park Draught care of Philter and some yummy Jets biscuits thanks to J Kreations. So, as Lynchy always says… ‘Dig deep & support the Jets!’

After the game, the Jets invite members, supporters and friends to the VIC on the Park from 5.30pm to mingle with players and coaching staff and hopefully celebrate a victory. VIC on the Park is located at 2 Addison Road, Marrickville.

We also encourage you to take advantage of a fantastic offer from Chargrill Charlie’s on your way there. Located at 186 Victoria Road, Marrickville, pick up a flyer at the game and you’ll receive 10% off your order. Better still, if the Jets win, you’ll get 15% off… how good?! Many thanks to Chargrill Charlie’s, producers of amazing food & proud supporters of the Newtown Jets.

If you cannot make it to Henson Park this Saturday, the game will be livestreamed on BarTV NSWRL.

Please be advised that the redevelopment & upgrade of the King George V Memorial Grandstand is in full swing. As a result, there is no parking inside the ground for the general public.

Go the Jets!
