Team List v North Sydney Bears | Sat 12th Sept 26
Tuesday Team List — proudly presented by the PHILTER.
The Jets’ path through the finals continues this Saturday as coach George Ndaira names his side for a do-or-die Week 2 clash with the North Sydney Bears at Leichhardt Oval, kicking off at 1pm, and the stakes couldn’t be higher — win, and the dream rolls on; lose, and the season ends.
Rally the Bluebags faithful and pack the hill. Our boys have fought all year to earn this shot, and they’ll need every voice behind them as they battle to keep their season alive.

Newtown v Norths — and it’s on.
It’s the business-end bonanza everyone wants to see: the Newtown Jets taking on the North Sydney Bears in a sudden-death elimination showdown. The Bluebags have been riding the same rollercoaster for the past seven weeks — grit, swings of momentum, and a refusal to go quietly.
Last weekend’s brave win over the Warriors came at a cost, with our livewire fullback and skipper Liam Ison ruled out through injury. But it’s strength through adversity for Our Men All Dressed in Blue as they fight to keep their Premiership dream alive.
It won’t come easy against a Bears outfit that has been a model of consistency all season. Devoid of NRL contracted players, their ability to train as a tight unit week in, week out — combined with the NRL’s expanded interchange — has served them well, and it shows in their footy.
This is another spellbinding chapter in a rivalry that dates back to 1908, played out in front of the two most passionate fan bases in the KOE NSW Cup. So once again we call on the Bluebags faithful to flood Leichhardt Oval in full voice, ready to roar:
“Newtown, Newtown, Newtown.”
It might well be the difference.
Go the Jets.
