Our Men All Dressed in Blue Face Another Tough Road Challenge
Sounds like a classic Jets storyline — a tough road trip, a bruising loss, and then straight back into the fire against a Raiders side that’s just as desperate. That’s rugby league at its most honest: no hiding, no shortcuts, just two teams trying to steady the ship after a stumble.
Here’s what jumps out:
A Reality Check, Not a Disaster
Losing 20–12 to Melbourne in Melbourne is hardly a catastrophe. The Storm rarely give anything away at home, and Newtown were in the fight. That’s something to build on, not dwell on.
Another Road Test
Canberra away is never friendly — cold, hostile, and historically unkind to the Jets. But sometimes a team’s character sharpens fastest when they’re uncomfortable. If “the only way is up” becomes the theme of the week, that’s not a bad rallying cry.

For anyone not making the trek down the Hume, BarTV via NSWRL is a gift. A comfy couch, a good feed, a few cans of PHILTER’s Newtown Lager and the Jets on screen — not a bad Sunday setup. Go the Jets
