Vale Ron Sigsworth

The Newtown Rugby League Football Club extends sincere condolences to the family members and many friends of Ron Sigsworth, who passed away on the 28th April 2025.

Ron was a product of the Newtown junior rugby league system, and he went on to play 25 NSWRL first grade games with the Newtown Jets in 1982 and 1983.

He also had playing stints with the Canberra Raiders, South Sydney and the UK club Castleford.

After his playing days, he coached South Sydney junior representative teams, as well as performing extended service with the NSW Rugby League judiciary panel.

Rest in peace, Ron Sigsworth.
