Vale | Trevor Ryan

The Newtown Jets are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of former player Trevor Ryan.

Hailing from Nambucca Heads, Trevor was lured to Newtown by John Singleton in 1979 after a successful stint with Balmain.

He played 35 first-grade games for Newtown across two seasons, serving as an on-field leader and helping educate the younger players around him.

A regular attendee at Reunion Day, Trevor’s name adorned the Pringle-Ryan Shield, which was formerly contested between Newtown and Balmain Ryde-Eastwood at NSW Cup level.

We send our deepest condolences to his friends and family.
