BLUEBAGS NEED TO BE AT THEIR BEST WHEN THEY FACE THE SEA EAGLES AT HENSON THIS SATURDAY
The Newtown Jets return to Henson Park this Saturday with another point to prove to the Bluebags faithful as they square off with the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles.
After enjoying their third bye of the season, the Jets will be looking to reset following an ordinary outing against Newcastle at North Sydney Oval. It’s been a rollercoaster month: a superb win over a stacked South Sydney side currently sitting third on the ladder, bookended by a disappointing home loss to the Magpies and that stumble against the Knights.
Our Men All Dressed in Blue are still chasing the consistency that turns good seasons into great ones. Their best is outstanding — their worst is a long way behind — and as we approach the halfway mark, this weekend looms as a genuine litmus test.
Manly arrive strengthened by the inclusion of young gun Joey Walsh and the experienced Zach Dockar-Clay, giving the Sea Eagles a sharp, well-balanced look. It’s a crucial clash. So come on, Jets supporters — let’s hear you at Henson Park, 3pm Saturday, and help lift the boys when it matters most.
Before the main event, we welcome the mighty Cronulla Sharks to Henson Park for the first time this season as they take on the Sydney Roosters in a NSW Women’s trial from 1pm. The defending premiers will be back at Henson later in the year, so this is a perfect early look at their 2026 firepower.

BLUEBAGS BACK IN BUSINESS AFTER COOGEE CLINIC
A week is a long time in Rugby League, and our Men All Dressed in Blue proved it with a far more polished, composed and committed performance to topple a red-hot South Sydney outfit riding five straight wins at Coogee Oval last Sunday.
The victory rockets the Jets back into the Top 5 and restores some momentum.
This Saturday we hit the road to North Sydney for the Bears’ Beer Footy Food Festival, where we face the 7th-placed Newcastle Knights. The Novocastrians are yet to enjoy a bye this season, while Newtown has been searching for consistency — all of which sets up an enthralling, high-stakes encounter.
And with beer, footy and food on tap, it’s shaping as one of the great days out. So that’s your cue, Bluebags faithful — bring the royal, bring the noise, and cheer our boys home. Go the Jets.
