OLD RIVALS CLASH IN THE FIRST LEG OF THE RAYNER FARRELL CUP
After a flat outing last weekend — one that saw Newtown relinquish the Tommy Raudonikis Cup for the first time in fifteen series — our Men All Dressed in Blue will be desperate to hit back in a big way when they face the third-placed South Sydney Rabbitohs at picturesque Coogee Oval this Sunday from 2.00pm.
The Jets were convincing winners the last time these two sides met at the same venue, lifting the Rayner Farrell Cup in the process. But the Bunnies of 2026 are a far tougher proposition, and with both clubs naming strong line-ups, this shapes as a genuinely mouth-watering contest.
With fine weather forecast, it’s the perfect afternoon to bring Mum down to Coogee Oval, soak up the atmosphere, and cheer on the mighty Bluebags as they look to reclaim momentum.
