WE’RE OFF TO THE BIG DANCE – NEXT STOP PENRITH

The Bluebags Express motors on.

Last weekend’s 30-14 victory over the Newcastle Knights at Kogarah, our ninth win in succession, sees our Blues progress to the Big Dance, this Saturday at CommBank Stadium. Kick-off is 7pm.

Our opponents, Penrith Panthers, have been the competition’s benchmark for almost the entire season. Minor Premiers and fresh after two weeks off in the past three, they represent another step up in challenge and will go into Saturday night as favourites.

Newtown, meanwhile, have done it the hard way. Backs to the wall, nine wins in a row, every game carrying the possibility that one loss would mean the end of the road.

And now we’re here: our fourth Grand Final in seven seasons.

It’s as enthralling a match-up as you could hope for.

With their Jersey Flegg side also in the Grand Final, the Panthers will enjoy plenty of support. So the challenge is set for the Bluebags faithful: turn up in numbers, bring the noise and be ready to roar NEWTOWN, NEWTOWN, NEWTOWN!

Your tremendous support has lifted the boys right through this finals’ series. There’s one Cup game left. Let’s lift them again.

Many thanks to our great friends at Busfleet for providing supporter buses to and from Petersham RSL, where we’ll be heading after the game, hopefully to celebrate another NSW Cup Premiership together.

One game. Another mighty Bluebags effort.

Go the Jets.
