Newtown Jets Virtual Team List v Canterbury Bulldogs Sat 25th April, 2020 (ANZAC DAY)

While we might not be able to watch Newtown Jets games live this season we can relive past glories from years gone by. As part of Virtual Season 2020 every Saturday from 3pm JETS TVwill broadcast classic encounters featuring our opponents from the 2020 Canterbury Cup NSW draw. Our intrepid social media team will “live tweet” the game as if they had entered a time machine and want you to be part of the action.

This weekend we were supposed to play Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs at Henson Park at 3pm on ANZAC Day.

This Saturday’s Virtual Season 2020 Round 7 Match is brought to you by our long term Allies Petersham RSL.

So at 3pm on Saturday 25th April tune in to JETS TV www.newtownjets.com and follow us on www.twitter.com/newtownrlfc as we revisit a fantastic game against the Bulldogs played at The Crest Stadium, Bass Hill on Saturday 21st May, 2011. Canterbury were vying for their fourth NSW Cup Premiership in a row and were sitting pretty at the top of the table whilst the Jets went into the match with an under strength back line and a young up & coming back rower earmarked for greater things named Boyd Cordner.

Newtown Jets has named its team from the game. Many thanks to our Player Sponsors listed in brackets.

Newtown Jets respect and honour the Traditional Custodians of the Land and pay our respects to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge the stories, traditions and living cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples on the lands we meet, gather and play on and that the land area encompassing Henson Park traditionally belonged to the Gadigal people of the Eora nation.
