The Newtown Jets and Western Suburbs Magpies are primed for a Reunion Day classic

Saturday’s match at Henson Park between the Jets and Magpies is of great importance to both clubs. Depending on other 24th Round results, Newtown can finish as high as second on the Intrust Super Premiership competition table, or as low as fifth. Both Newtown and Wests are striving for a top four finish and the coveted double-chance in the finals.

The Newtown-Western Suburbs match is being televised live by Channel Nine and please note that this match kicks off at 1.00pm.

Saturday is the annual Reunion Day for the Newtown RLFC.

This is also the deciding match in the 2018 Tom Raudonikis Cup series. Newtown defeated Wests 23-22 in the first leg on the 26th May (Round 12) at Lidcombe Oval.

Following the Newtown-Western Suburbs ISP NSW match, there will be a Ron Massey Cup fixture between Glebe-Burwood and Wentworthville being played at Henson Park at 3.00pm.

Glebe-Burwood (aka the Glebe Dirty Reds) is Newtown’s official partnership club in the Ron Massey Cup competition.

The Glebe Dirty Reds need to win this match to ensure a top four finish.
