Tim’s Boots Are Made for Walkin’
In 2016, Tim Shmigel, whose been coming to Henson Park for twenty years with his dad Pete, became only the second Aussie to walk from Wilsons Promontory National Park in the Gippsland region of Victoria to Cape York – a whopping 6,500 kilometres. He’s now walking 7,000 kms down California, across the US to the east coast and then up to NYC as part of a walk around the globe. All the while Tim is sporting the colours of our mighty Bluebags. Go well Tim…

Newtown Jets respect and honour the Traditional Custodians of the Land and pay our respects to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge the stories, traditions and living cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples on the lands we meet, gather and play on and that the land area encompassing Henson Park traditionally belonged to the Gadigal people of the Eora nation.
