Beer Footy Food Update
Dear Beer, Footy & Food Lovers,
With the announcement this week of the Greater Sydney area lockdown extension and the uncertainty surrounding the roll back of restrictions, the organisers of the Beer Footy and Food Festival, in consultation with the Newtown Jets, have decided to postpone the July 24th event. The postponed event will now take place on August 14th.
It has always been our goal to deliver an event of the highest quality whilst maintaining the safety of everyone at the event. We believe that by pushing the date back, this will allow enough time for clarity on the current outbreak and the
roll back of restrictions.
By pushing the Beer Footy Food Series to August we will be able to deliver the festival the way it was intended. Beer in hand, burger in the other, looking down from the hill as the mighty Jets take on some legacy foes! The event on 7th August will still be going ahead as the Bluebags take on the South Sydney Rabbitohs and we are excited to announce that 14th August will now play host to postponed BFF series opener. This game is a special one for The Jets. A rematch of the 1981 NSWRFL Grand Final vs Parramatta Eels and will mark the 40 year anniversary of the game.
It’s not just the footy to get excited about though! With 25+ brewers from far and wide and 10+ local food vendors showcasing diverse cuisines from all over the world there is something for everyone at the Beer Footy Food Festival! Tickets purchased to the 24th July event will automatically be valid for the 14th August event. If you wish to attend the 7th August event instead you must contact Oztix before Friday 23rd July.
Of course, if you cannot attend either event, refunds are available via Oztix. Refunds for the 24th July event will not be available after Thursday 5th August.

Newtown Jets respect and honour the Traditional Custodians of the Land and pay our respects to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge the stories, traditions and living cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples on the lands we meet, gather and play on and that the land area encompassing Henson Park traditionally belonged to the Gadigal people of the Eora nation.
