The Newtown Jets are home again at Henson Park this Saturday, 4th August for SCU’s RETRO DAY Intrust Super Premiership clash against the Sea Eagles kicking off at 3pm. Come one, come all in your favourite Retro Jersey (pre-2000) for half price entry ($5).

SCU has been partnering with the Newtown Jets since 2012 and regularly attend each Newtown Jets home game. Ice Cream Joe’s Mr Whippy & Barista will be in attendance as will JETMAN & SCU – More Generous Banking’s SYD THE PIG – don’t forget to grab a photo with Syd during the 1st half.

One of the prestige awards of the night is the Fred Daly Memorial Shield, which is awarded to the player considered to have rendered the most outstanding service to the Newtown RLFC on and off the field. This year's recipient is the Henson Park crowd favourite and powerhouse middle forward Brad "Big Red" Fearnley, flanked by the club President Barry Cotter (left) and the Australian Mutual Bank sponsorship executive and Development Manager Glen Warner (right).
