The Newtown Jets are back at Henson Park on Saturday, 16th June for an all important Intrust Super Premiership clash with first placed Mounties (feeder club to Canberra Raiders). The game is being televised live on Channel 9 from 1.00pm [please note earlier kick-off time] on the Jets’ annual LADIES DAY. This is the occasion when the Jets pay tribute to the enormous role played by women in so many aspects of the modern Rugby League game and it’s FREE ENTRY for all the girls this Saturday. The match will be preceded by NSW Physical Disability RLA matches featuring Wests Tigers, Sydney Roosters, Newtown Jets & South Sydney Rabbitohs from 10.30am with our Ron Massey Cup partners Glebe Burwood Wolves doing battle with Mounties at 3.30pm.
The Jets will again be raising funds for St Vincent De Paul’s Elsie Women’s Refuge on the day. Located in the Inner West of Sydney, Elsie Women’s Refuge is a crisis accommodation and case management service for women with children who have experienced domestic/family violence.
