After returning to the winners’ circle last Sunday against the North Sydney Bears and in the process retaining the Frank Hyde Shield, the mighty Jets will be looking to find some consistency when they take on a powerful NZ Warriors outfit this Saturday at Henson Park at the earlier kick off time of 1pm. It’s 2^nd versus 5^th in what should be a riveting game of Rugby League.

With favourable weather again predicted, Henson Park is the place to be this Saturday for lunch, refreshments and to cheer on our Men All Dressed In Blue.

As usual, there will be plenty of fun to be had on the DEICORP Family Hill with FREE jumping castles & face painting to keep the kids entertained. Ice Cream Joe’s Mr Whippy & Barista will be in attendance next to the Main Canteen, whilst Philter’s Henson Park Draught, XPA and other tasty brews are available for all the Mums, Dads and over 18s along with Kraken’s Black Mojito.

We welcome 1^st Alexandria Scout Group’s stall back to Henson Park as they look to raise some much-needed funds to get to the Jamborette which is Australian Scouts attending the NZ Scout Jamboree after the last two Jamborees in Australia were cancelled due to bushfires and then Covid-19. No doubt there will be some delicious treats on offer, so dig in to assist the locals.

Newtown Jets’ home game raffle features a delicious Meat Tray from Dulwich Hill Gourmet Meats along with our famous Fruit & Veg box courtesy of Bobby and Chris Petersen, a case of Henson Park Draught care of Philter and some yummy Jets cakes thanks to J Kreations. So as Lynchy always says… ‘Dig deep & support the Jets’.

After the game, the Jets invite members, supporters and friends to the Golden Barley Hotel from 3.45pm to mingle with players and coaching staff and hopefully celebrate a win. Golden Barley Hotel is located at 165 Edgeware Road, Marrickville.
