Newtown Jets trial games and training squad information
The Newtown RLFC is pleased to announce that the experienced and tough centre Jacob Gagan has signed with the club for the 2023 season.
Jacob played with Newtown in 2016 and had an outstanding season. The Jets were narrowly defeated by the (eventual premiers) Illawarra Cutters in that year’s preliminary final.
Since 2016 he has played with the Newcastle Knights, North Sydney, South Sydney, FC Lezignan (France) and Norths Devils (Queensland Cup).
Norths Devils won the Queensland Cup Grand Final in both 2021 and 2022, and Jacob was named as Man of the Match and the Duncan Hall Medal winner in the 2022 Queensland Cup Grand Final.
Here he is being interviewed after Norths Devils thrilling 2022 Grand Final victory over the Redcliffe Dolphins:

Jets fans will recall that Wes had big seasons with Newtown in 2018 and 2019.
