You have gotta love Jets’ supporters – they stick solid, through thick & thin
Clare Hoye moved into Horton Street Marrickville when she was a young girl.
Growing up, her father used to put a ladder up above the wall at Henson Park every home game, so she could have a vantage point to watch the Bluebags play.
Clare has followed her beloved Bluebags ever since.
Her faithful mascot’s name is ‘Siggy’ named after her favourite player, Newtown’s last home grown Australian international Phil ‘What’s-a-packet-a’ Sigsworth.
Godspeed Clare, and Godspeed the Bluebags.
Lifelong …
Newtown Jets respect and honour the Traditional Custodians of the Land and pay our respects to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge the stories, traditions and living cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples on the lands we meet, gather and play on and that the land area encompassing Henson Park traditionally belonged to the Gadigal people of the Eora nation.
