A heartfelt message to all of our Newtown Jets members, supporters and friends

Make no mistake, we are living in extraordinary times.

This is a call from our players, coaching staff, team staff and club Directors to all of our members, supporters and friends to get behind the Jets in these uncertain times and help to keep this famous old club going.

Unlike most of our opposition clubs in the Canterbury Cup NSW competition, we don’t have the backing of any large affiliated licensed clubs to financially support us during this disrupted season.

We depend heavily on revenue from our home games and this rugby league season might not get underway again until the middle of the year.

Please show your support for the Newtown RLFC in this difficult period by renewing your club membership, or by joining and taking out a club membership package that suits your personal circumstances.

You can also encourage your family members, friends, neighbours and work colleagues to join and add to the revenue that this club receives from club memberships.

You can of course also buy Newtown Jets clothing and merchandise online (www.newtownjetsclothing.com.au) or by phoning the club’s office on 9052 6980. The Newtown RLFC office is located at 14 Rich Street, Marrickville NSW 2204.

This is going to be a very difficult year for the Newtown RLFC, but with your stalwart support we will come through.

As our Kiwi friends say in times like these: Kia kaha – stay strong!

Newtown Jets respect and honour the Traditional Custodians of the Land and pay our respects to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge the stories, traditions and living cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples on the lands we meet, gather and play on and that the land area encompassing Henson Park traditionally belonged to the Gadigal people of the Eora nation.
